I finally built a dog feeding nook into my kitchen cabinets.
It's a small cabinet with pull-out trays for food and water bowls right next to the fridge. Some say this is a handy upgrade that makes feeding time easier and looks clean. Others argue it's silly to design your home around a pet, like they're a human kid. Where do you fall on this kind of pet-focused home project?

Nah, I gotta disagree with calling it silly. Making a spot for your dog's bowls just seems practical to me, it keeps the floors cleaner and stops you from tripping over them. Our pets live here too, so why not make things work better for everyone? Honestly it sounds like a smart use of space that looks nicer than a bowl in the middle of the floor.

Totally agree, it's just considerate design for family members who walk on four legs. Makes you wonder why more people don't appreciate that nice touch, right?

But honestly, it's just a place for a dog to eat. People act like this is a huge home improvement win. I've seen folks build whole rooms for their cats with climbing walls and TVs. Does the dog even notice if the bowl is in a cabinet? They just want the food. We might be overthinking simple things.
