Balancing in tree pose became impossible with a kitten on my shoulder.
Some distractions are just too adorable to ignore.

Reddit's yoga forum had a thread on animal distractions. Top comment mentioned improved patience from such moments. Your kitten is basically a mindfulness coach.

Does your kitten have a particular talent for disrupting yoga poses? My cat always weaves through my legs during downward dog, turning my serious session into a giggle fest. I've learned to embrace the chaos as part of the mindfulness process. Honestly, it's a better workout for my patience than my core.

Honestly, when claire836 said to embrace the chaos as mindfulness, it totally resonated with me. My cat always chooses corpse pose to curl up on my stomach, turning final relaxation into a test of absolute stillness. Tbh, I've had to freeze in half-moon pose because he decided to rub against my standing leg, and balancing suddenly became a survival skill. Those interruptions honestly make the session more memorable than any perfectly executed flow. Ngl, I've started calling him my furry yoga buddy because his antics keep me grounded in the moment.
