inMy neighbor found some old pottery while gardening, and I'm not sure what to do.
Seriously? He's letting his kids use toy shovels? That is a sure way to smash any old pieces into dust. Those little shovels can cut right through fragile marks that tell the story. I heard about a find where kids playing around made a whole site useless for study. If he keeps going, there might be nothing left for the historical group to check out. He really needs to put the shovels down.

inStopped fighting with fiber optic ends by changing my cleaning method
But wait, you really think the simple stuff is hard? I see it the opposite way. We make it hard ourselves by overthinking it. Like with the fiber ends, the fix was always just using the right wipe, but someone had to be stuck doing it wrong for months first. The simple answer is usually sitting right there, we just ignore it.

inMy toddler's idea of helping with my bookbinding project
Wow, that glitter is basically craft herpes, it never really goes away. @drew458's crayon story proves you need a long term plan, not just a kid corner, because they just get more clever. You'll be figuring out new ways to hide your good scissors until she's a teenager.

inCrazy how a sci-fi binge made me appreciate my boring job
Ha, right? I watched "Event Horizon" last week and let's just say my weird fridge noise (which I used to hate) now sounds super safe and normal. Burnt toast isn't a problem, it's just... toast. (Though I did check my closet extra careful that night, not gonna lie.)
