Crazy how a sci-fi binge made me appreciate my boring job

I was binging a space opera and saw how characters deal with insane crises. It made my daily grind seem pretty chill in comparison, haha. Has a show ever shifted how you see your routine?

Watching someone on a failing spaceship deal with a hostile alien queen really makes my worst work day look fine. Like, my big crisis is the coffee machine being broken, not an airlock breach. It kind of puts all the tiny annoying stuff into a new light... makes you realize quiet and boring can be its own sort of win. You get to clock out and just be a person, not a hero saving the galaxy.

Totally get that feeling after watching some wild space horror movie. Suddenly sitting in boring traffic feels like a gift, not a hassle. Even burning dinner just means ordering pizza, not trying to outrun a face-hugger in the air ducts. It really does make the dumb little problems seem kinda peaceful.

Ha, right? I watched "Event Horizon" last week and let's just say my weird fridge noise (which I used to hate) now sounds super safe and normal. Burnt toast isn't a problem, it's just... toast. (Though I did check my closet extra careful that night, not gonna lie.)
