I found this state park while driving off the main highway last fall. The skies are so dark there, you can spot satellites moving overhead. Go on a weekday to avoid the handful of campers. Bring a folding chair and some snacks, because once the sun sets, you won't want to leave. It's completely free and feels like your own private planetarium.

My infographic project on flat earth theories is getting more shares than expected
Remember my aunt got super into those "natural health" blogs that said microwaves poison your food. She threw out a perfectly good microwave and started reheating everything in the oven for like two years. Made dinner take forever. Eventually she just bought a new one because it was so annoying, but she still gives the microwave this weird look sometimes. Funny how those ideas just stick in your head even when you know better.
