Saw a good article about this last month where a guy called multi-tools "insurance for your gear." He made a fair point, like Derek did. I still mostly just grab my fixed blade knife for quick trips, it's all I ever seem to pull out. For a week in the woods, I get the want for pliers though. My big one stays in the car now, just in case.

My local library replaced all their card catalogs with computers a few years back. Sure, finding books is faster now, but I miss the smell of old paper and the quiet shuffle of drawers. Sometimes the new way just doesn't have the same soul.

That new self-inflating pad is a reliable monster that ruins everything. It completely killed our fun nightly ritual of arguing and plotting. I guess peaceful sleep is the price we pay for no more morning revenge plans.

Ugh, tell me about it. Netflix always kills the cool weird stuff too soon. Such a bummer.
