inPSA: I found that using public bike shares in cities is cheaper than taxis.
Ever notice how we avoid tiny hassles but ignore bigger problems?

That whole cranking-too-hard thing really bugs me, what part actually failed? The threads on the cap, or the silicone seal itself? Makes you wonder if the space-saving is worth always having that doubt in the back of your mind.

inMy recent solo trip made me see how sketchy some ride shares have become at night
Wow, I actually used to think that seemed a bit over the top, but you just changed my mind. It's not just for your own comfort, it gives someone else a real-time check on your trip (which is pretty smart). I guess having that open line is a solid backup if your phone dies or something goes weird. Makes the driver aware they're kind of on speaker too, which probably helps keep things calm for everyone.

inPSA: Movie critics I follow on Twitter are all talking about how their editor meetings have moved to Zoom permanently.
Mute yourself until you actually speak, saves everyone from hearing your keyboard. Keep the camera on unless your connection gets bad, people notice when you turn it off. Use the space bar to quickly unmute instead of hunting for the button. Learned all this driving long hauls with my dispatcher on video calls.

inHot take: Forced VR teamwork with randoms now has me nodding at bus drivers
The "tiny human link" part really got me. I was the same, headphones always in, avoiding eye contact like a sport. After a few coop games where you actually have to talk to win, I started noticing the cashier's mood or saying "thanks" to delivery guys. It's not some big change, but those micro connections make existing around other people feel less like a chore.
