Had a total flip on AI hiring tools after seeing what happened at a temp agency

I walked into this staffing office in Detroit last week to pick up a check and watched three people get told their applications were rejected by the automated screener because they used the wrong keywords. The lady at the desk showed me the output, it flagged a guy with 10 years of forklift experience as 'low match' just cause he wrote material handler instead of operator. How are we supposed to trust these systems when they trip over basic language differences?

Man that is exactly why I stopped using those automated filters at my last warehouse job.

You mentioned those automated filters at your warehouse, but I actually think they can work pretty well if you tweak them right. I've seen them cut down on sorting mistakes big time once the sensors get calibrated properly after the first week of use. Just takes a bit of patience up front before they start saving everyone's backs and time.
