That AI hiring tool ghosted me after 3 rounds of interviews

I spent 2 weeks prepping for a dental office manager role, only to get an automated rejection from their AI screener at 2am last Tuesday. The recruiter later told me the system flagged my resume for having "inconsistent job gaps" because of a volunteer gig I listed. Has anyone else had an AI system completely misread your work history?

Honestly, 2am rejections are such a slap in the face, especially after three rounds. The AI flagging volunteer work as a "job gap" is ridiculous, it can't tell the difference between regular employment and unpaid experience.

You really think the 2am thing is that bad? I mean yeah timing sucks but email job rejection bots have been running 24/7 for years now. That's just how mass layoff notices work. And the volunteer gap flag? That's a feature not a bug. Companies want to know if you had a real job with a real paycheck. Volunteering is great and all but it doesn't pay bills. HR doesn't care about your soup kitchen Saturdays when they're hiring for a sales role. Seems fair to me honestly.

Right so the AI overlords decided your soup kitchen Saturdays make you look like a slacker. Peak efficiency. Three rounds of interviews and then a robot hits you with the rejection at 2am like it's breaking up with you via text. The volunteer gap flag is insane - I guess helping people doesn't count if there's no paycheck attached. At this rate they'll start flagging "life gap" for the years you spent being alive. Maybe next they'll run your resume through a vibe check at 3am and reject you for having too many consonants.
