I was crowding the basket for months and my fries were always soggy

I kept putting in a whole bag of frozen crinkle cuts, about 2 pounds, and they'd steam instead of crisp. My brother pointed out they were all piled on top of each other when he saw me making them last weekend. Now I do two smaller batches and they come out perfect every time. Anyone have a good trick for cooking a full bag without having to babysit it in batches?

Try shaking the basket halfway through the cook time. It helps redistribute them so they aren't all stuck together, and I get a more even crisp on a full load. It's not perfect, but it beats doing multiple batches.
