Heard a kid at the comic shop say they only watch dubs now
It was in line at the register, and they were talking about how they gave up on subs because they wanted to actually look at the animation. I always stuck with subs for the 'original feel', but maybe I'm missing some great visuals by reading. What's the last show you watched dubbed?

Used to be a sub-only purist myself, but finally tried the dub for "Spy x Family" and it totally changed my mind. The voice acting is fantastic, and I realized I was missing half the visual jokes because my eyes were glued to the bottom of the screen. Now I can actually appreciate the amazing expressions on Anya's face. I'm starting to think the kid has a real point.

Yeah, the "eyes glued to the bottom" thing is so real... I just watch the first episode of a new show both ways now and pick whichever feels right.
