I thought the hype around that new fantasy anime was just marketing fluff

My friend in Chicago kept telling me to watch 'The Unseen Kingdom' for weeks, but the trailers looked generic. I finally gave in and watched the first three episodes last Tuesday. The character writing in episode two, especially the scene where the knight admits he's scared, completely won me over. Has anyone else been surprised by a show they thought would be bad?

@blakem13 The one with the host who burned everything? That show was a train wreck. The editing was so choppy you couldn't even follow a recipe. Felt like they just gave up halfway through filming every episode.
