Found out a gallon of clearcoat weighs 8 pounds and I've been guessing at mixing for 11 months
I was cleaning out the mixing room at our place in Fresno last Tuesday and actually read the tech sheet on the clear we spray instead of just eyeballing it like always. Turns out the ratio is by weight, not volume, and the hardener is way denser than the clear, so my 4:1 mix has been off this whole time and I just thought my gun was the problem. Anybody got a cheap scale they trust for this, or am I overthinking it?
