Remember when coffee dates meant a quick meetup not a whole production?

Met this girl at a diner in Portland back in 2012 and she spent the first 15 minutes taking photos of her latte for Instagram before even saying hi. Has anyone else noticed dates turning into photo shoots instead of actual conversations?

oh the "something to do with her hands" thing hits close to home. i'm so awkward on first dates i'd probably end up taking photos of my own shoes just to avoid eye contact. fifteen minutes is still wild though, like at some point you gotta put the phone down and find out if they're a weirdo or not.

Quick meetup not a whole production" is a pretty good way to put it but honestly I think we're kind of overthinking it. She was probably just nervous and the camera gave her something to do with her hands for a minute. Fifteen minutes is a lot though, I'll give you that.
