Thought buying links from Fiverr was a scam until I checked my GSC data
I paid a guy $40 for 20 edu backlinks 3 months ago and actually saw my organic traffic jump 15% on 3 of my money pages. Has anyone else had good results from cheap link packages or did I just get lucky?

Respectfully disagree. Those cheap link packages usually get nuked in the next Google update. Give it another few months and see if that traffic holds up, odds are it won't.

My $50 experiment with a Fiverr gig for 15 profile links on some random blogs actually moved my site from page 3 to page 2 for a medium competition keyword. I was dead set against it until a friend showed me his ranking improvements, so I gave it a shot. The links weren't great quality but they gave just enough of a nudge to get Google to notice my page.

Bought a $30 link package last year for a keyword I was totally stuck on. Ended up getting a manual action from Google and had to spend a weekend cleaning up garbage links. Was not my finest moment in SEO history. But I get it, sometimes you just want to see your page move and cheap links feel like the only shortcut left. Hope your experiment keeps working for you, mine definitely did not.
