My coworker said the 2016 Ghostbusters was 'fine' and I almost walked out

He argued it just needed to exist for a new audience, but that $70 million flop proves some classics shouldn't be touched. What's a remake you think actually made the original worse?

Actually thought that Ghostbusters was pretty fun... it got way too much hate for just trying something different. Some remakes are just for a new crowd, doesn't ruin the old one at all.

Honestly gotta side with hugo_schmidt on this one. That Ghostbusters hate always felt over the top, like people were mad it even got made. A bad remake doesn't erase the original, it just sits there as its own thing. The Total Recall reboot is a better example of something that actually makes you appreciate how good the Schwarzenegger version was.

Right? Why do people get so mad about remakes?
