I used to just yell out the window when my neighbor's dog barked at 3am, now I keep a log and call animal control

Notice how we all turn into amateur bureaucrats when we get fed up. My recycling bin has a spreadsheet now because the truck kept skipping it. The system only rewards paperwork, not yelling.

Actually got my trash picked up by yelling at the city council meeting lol. Sometimes the system needs both.

Is it just me or does every problem in this country eventually boil down to who can yell the loudest versus who can fill out the most forms? Tbh we're all just learning which lever to pull to get anything done.
