Just figured out why my fence kept leaning after two whole summers

Turns out the guy who built it before we moved in set the posts in gravel, not concrete. Every time the ground froze in our Michigan winters, they'd shift a little more. I spent maybe 30 hours over two years trying to brace and straighten it before I finally dug one up last week and saw the problem. Anyone else had a neighbor's shortcut turn into your long-term headache?

Ever wonder what other shortcuts that guy might have taken around the house?

Oh absolutely. I bet the light switches don't even match and the door frames are all crooked. Ruby's plumbing guess is probably spot on, I once saw a sink drain that just went straight into the wall with no pipe. The whole place is probably held together with duct tape and wishful thinking.

Like, did he skip plumbing too?
