My neighbor's dog learned to open our shared fence gate from watching YouTube

I kept finding their golden retriever, Buddy, in my yard every afternoon. I finally saw it happen last Tuesday around 3 PM. The dog stood up, nudged the latch with his nose, and pushed the gate open. His owner, Mike, admitted he left a 'dog enrichment' video playing on his tablet and Buddy just copied it. Has anyone else had a pet learn something inconvenient from a screen?

Oh man, I used to think those videos were just silly... but I guess they really work. Now I'm side-eyeing my own dog every time he watches TV.

Nah I'm still not convinced. My dog stares at the screen sometimes but it's just colors and movement to him. He never actually reacts to what's happening. Those videos seem like a stretch. People just see what they want to see. I doubt most pets are really getting anything out of it.

Felt the same way until my cat started batting at birds on the screen. She even tries to look behind the TV for them. Changed my mind pretty fast.
