My cordless clipper battery died mid-fade on a Saturday morning.

Had to finish with my old corded pair, which honestly gave a cleaner line on the hard part. Anyone have a solid brand for replacement batteries that actually hold a charge?

Yeah, finishing with the corded ones is a classic move. I saw a barber on YouTube say the same thing about getting a cleaner line with corded clippers. For batteries, I heard the off-brand ones can be hit or miss, but some people have good luck with them.

My buddy bought a set of those off-brand battery clippers last year and they died after two months. The motor just gave out halfway through a fade. I've seen cordless professional clippers from brands like Wahl hold up for years with daily use. The extra cost up front saves you from that hassle of a cheap tool breaking when you need it most.

My Wahl Magic Clip battery swelled up last year. Found a replacement on Amazon for about twenty bucks. It's not an official Wahl part but it's been solid for eight months now. I keep my corded Andis as a backup for that exact reason.
