Unpopular opinion: I actually skip the first 3 episodes of Better Call Saul every rewatch

Everyone says you have to sit through the slow start for the payoff, but I jumped straight to episode 4 last time and I got way more into it without the boring setup. Has anyone else tried skipping the pilot or early episodes of a show you love?

I read somewhere that showrunners often re-edit the first few episodes after the pilot to fix pacing, but it still drags. That makes sense since I tried skipping to episode 4 on my last rewatch too and it felt way tighter without the chimp machine stuff. The show really finds its groove once Jimmy starts working at the nail salon and the whole Mesa Verde thing kicks off.

Honestly I probably miss half the plot anyway because I'm always looking at my phone during the slow parts. The first few episodes of anything just feel like homework you gotta do before the fun starts. Guess that makes me a binge-watcher with zero attention span.
