That's just how book clubs go sometimes... my group barely talks about the text itself.

Ever feel like you're doing book club wrong? I used to get so mad when my group would go off topic, like we were failing at the whole point. But then I realized those random talks about life and work and whatever else are actually the best part. The book is just the thing that gets us in the same room. Now I don't stress if we only talk about the story for ten minutes.
