My new bone folder snapped clean in half on a simple fold

It was a Teflon one I bought online, and it just gave out while I was creasing some 80gsm paper. I'm torn between blaming the tool or my own pressure. Has anyone else had a bone folder fail like this?

Teflon one" makes me think it was the tool, not your pressure.

Honestly, a Teflon bone folder breaking on regular paper is a pretty clear sign. That thing was probably a dud from the start. I've used cheap plastic ones for years on cardstock without a crack. You'd have to be trying to fold sheet metal to snap it on 80gsm. My money's on a bad batch or just junk materials.
