My grandma told me to stop watering my jade plant every day and I'm glad I listened

She visited last month, saw it on my windowsill, and said 'you're drowning it, give it a week between drinks.' I was watering it every single morning. I waited a full seven days, and the leaves plumped up and stopped dropping. It looks healthier now than it has in a year. Anyone else have a plant that thrived after you watered it less?

Oh man, same thing happened with my snake plant! I was giving it a little water every few days and it just looked sad. Let it go bone dry for like two weeks and it perked right up.

Honestly, my peace lily was such a drama queen about water. I used to give it a drink whenever it drooped a little, which was all the time. Finally left it alone until the soil felt dry an inch down, and it stopped getting those gross brown tips. Why do we always think more water equals more love?

My aloe vera was a total mess until I ignored it for a month. The tips were brown and it felt squishy. Stuck it in a sunnier spot and forgot about it. Now it's putting out new, firm leaves like it's showing off.
