Blew out my third trowel handle this year on a retaining wall in Austin
It was a Marshalltown handle too, the kind I've used for a decade, but it just snapped at the tang during a hot day repointing an old limestone wall. Has anyone else had issues with the newer handles cracking like that, or did I just get a bad batch?

Must be that new green handle curse... guess Marshalltown's cutting corners now.

...and my buddy Dave had one of those green handles snap on him mid-pour last week. He was just finishing up a slab and the whole head flew off, landed right in the wet mix. Mud went everywhere, he was picking chunks out of his hair for an hour. Felt bad laughing but it was pretty funny seeing him covered head to toe in cement.
