Warning about those 'budget' meal kit trials
I signed up for one of those meal kit services with a cheap first box offer, thinking I'd get a few dinners for about $20. After the first week, they charged my card $80 for the next box because I forgot to cancel in their tiny 3-day window. I had to call and argue for 15 minutes just to get a partial refund. Has anyone else had this happen and know a better way to try new recipes without the hassle?

Remember when gym memberships pulled this same junk?

Yeah, that three day window is Insane. It's like they know you're busy with the actual meals from the first box. What other industries do you see using this exact same short fuse tactic? I feel like I've seen it with those online fitness apps and maybe some clothing subscription boxes.

Spot this trick everywhere with free trials and cheap first offers. They design the whole system to make you forget the deadline. It feels less like a service and more like a trap you have to actively avoid.
