Finally tracked my takeout spending versus a meal kit for a month
I spent $287 on random delivery orders in April, which felt normal until I tried a HelloFresh plan for two. That box cost $65 a week and covered three dinners, so I only needed a couple extra grocery items. The meal kit forced me to plan and cut my total food spending by almost $40 for the month. Has anyone else found a specific service that helped them cut back on impulse food buys?

Forty bucks is barely a rounding error, honestly.

Honestly depends on your budget though. For some people that's a full tank of gas or a week of groceries. It's all about what that money means to you.

Forty bucks is a full grocery run for me if I hit the discount store... ground beef, pasta, some veggies. That's not a rounding error, that's real money for a lot of folks. It's easy to forget that sometimes.
