My emergency fund hit $5,000 this morning

I started putting $200 from each paycheck into a separate account six months ago. Seeing that number pop up on my screen felt huge. It means I could cover my car breaking down without touching my rent money. How much do you guys keep in your emergency fund?

Nice! That's a solid start for sure. I keep about three months of bills in mine now, after my own car surprise. You'll sleep way better knowing it's there.
