My grocery store cashier stared at me like I was nuts for my coupon move

I was at Kroger with a stack of paper coupons and one digital offer for the same item. The cashier scanned the paper ones first, then the app barcode, and the register beeped and gave me the discount twice. She had to call a manager to override it, which took 15 minutes. Anyone else have a store system glitch work in their favor?

Forget the bug or the manager for a second. Makes you wonder what kind of system they're running that needs a manager code just to give a refund. That's a policy choice, not a glitch. It's built to slow things down and make you second guess asking for your money back. The fifteen minute wait is just the proof it's working as designed.

The fifteen minute wait is the real system bug, and I'm the one who has to run the update. My manager code is probably just my own birthday I keep forgetting.
