I realized my weekly spreads were a total waste of time after my therapist asked to see my journal.
She pointed out that the three hours I spent every Sunday drawing perfect boxes and headers was just me avoiding the actual task of planning my week, which I could do in about 15 minutes with a simple list.

My therapist once said my neat handwriting was just another form of procrastination.

My old boss used to call that "sharpening pencils." We'd spend all day setting up the perfect workspace, labeling folders, and then never actually start the report. It looks and feels like work, but it's just moving stuff around. I had to learn to just open a blank document and type the first terrible sentence. The fancy setup never made the writing any easier.
