I used to think a bullet journal had to be perfect, but a podcast changed my mind
I was listening to the 'Pen Addict' podcast last week and they had a guest who said, 'Your notebook is a tool, not a trophy.' That really hit me. I realized I was spending more time stressing over straight lines and perfect lettering than actually planning my week. How do you get past the need for your spreads to look just right?

Honestly, it's just a notebook. The whole point is to get things out of your head, not make art for Instagram. If a messy list works, then it works.

Remember when bullet journals first got popular and every page looked like a museum piece? My own notebook is just crossed out grocery lists and half finished thoughts about what to make for dinner. It's a mess but it actually gets used, which is the whole point right?

Exactly. The pressure to make it pretty defeats the whole purpose.
