inI used to think a bullet journal had to be perfect, but a podcast changed my mind
Exactly. The pressure to make it pretty defeats the whole purpose.

inGot a burger in St. Louis last week that was somehow still frozen in the middle
That St. Louis spot off I-44 is probably dealing with a broken grill timer or a new trainee. I worked a grill in college and the rush can be unreal, you're just trying to push orders out. A frozen middle is a mistake, but it's not them giving up. It's a system under pressure. They should have offered to remake it, but a shrug is easier when you're eight hours into a minimum wage shift.

inMy coworker saw me dipping my fries in my chocolate shake at the diner on 5th and called it a crime against food...
Yeah, the salty-sweet thing is a total game changer. It's like how pretzels dipped in frosting just hit different, or why salted caramel is everywhere now. Once your brain gets past the idea that they're separate, it just makes sense. I even put a tiny pinch of salt in my hot chocolate sometimes.

inA trip to the local recycling center made me think about our trade
Love that idea from @the_jennifer. I mean, my local library still has flyers for missing cats from 2019, so yours actually getting results is pretty solid. Maybe it's just me but that feels like a real win.

inFinally got my A&P license after failing the oral on fuel systems twice
Used to think I needed all the extra study guides too. Blew like $150 on electrical system manuals before my general exam. Realized the FAA handbooks had everything if I just read them slower. Now I tell new guys to save their money and highlight the actual required reading first.
