Custom bumper sticker peeled off after 2 weeks on my truck

I stuck a funny bumper sticker on my tailgate last month and after just 14 days in the Texas sun it curled up and fell off. Turns out the cheaper vinyl ones don't hold up to heat and rain like the thicker laminated ones do. Anybody had luck with a specific brand that lasts more than a month?

152 degrees in direct sun on a dark tailgate, that's what your bumper sticker is really fighting. People dont think about how the adhesive itself has a melting point, not just the vinyl. What worked for me was a brand called CarStickers.com that uses a high-temp acrylic adhesive, it stayed put for over a year before I got bored and peeled it off myself. Another trick is to clean the spot with rubbing alcohol first and let it bake on for a full 24 hours before driving, gives it a fighting chance. But honestly, if you want something that laughs at sun and rain, you need to go with a die-cut vinyl that's laminated on top, not those cheap paper-backed ones from Amazon.

It's not cheap, like 15 bucks instead of 5, but it's that thick laminated vinyl that feels almost like a plastic sheet. I also scrubbed the spot with nail polish remover first to get all the wax off and let it sit in the sun for a whole afternoon before driving. No peeling yet.
