Spent 45 minutes yesterday trying to get a clean break on a pork shoulder blade bone with my old band saw.
Turned out the blade was just a quarter turn too loose on the tensioner, a fix that took under a minute once I figured it out.

Ugh, that's the worst kind of fix. You fight with it forever and the answer is stupid simple. Makes you feel like you wasted all that time for nothing.

Man, that exact thing happened to me with my table saw last month. Spent a whole afternoon chasing a wobble in the cut, thinking the blade was warped or the arbor was bent. Ended up being the belt tension was just barely too high. Tightened it a quarter turn and it cut perfect again. Felt like a complete idiot but also kind of relieved it wasn't a pricey fix.
