Appreciation post: that time a basement job in St. Louis made me switch my whole crimping setup

I was doing a rewire in a 1920s house near Forest Park last month, and the crawlspace was tight enough that I could barely get my crimper in there. After 3 hours of fighting with my old Klein ratcheting tool, I borrowed a Coax Pro from a buddy and finished the rest of the drops in under an hour. Now I'm kicking myself for not making the switch sooner. Anyone else have a specific job that made you totally change your tools?

Borrowed a Coax Pro and finished in under an hour" - are tool upgrades really that life changing?

Finished in under an hour" is exactly what got me. I used to think tool upgrades were just hype, you know? Like people just wanted to show off their new gear. But then my neighbor let me borrow her Coax Pro last month and honestly I felt stupid for waiting so long. The thing just cuts through cable like butter, no wrestling or stripped ends. I had all my coax runs done in like 45 minutes including cleanup. It's not just faster, it's less frustrating and you get way cleaner connections. So yeah, I was wrong about those fancy tools making a difference. They really do.
