My fish tape snapped inside a conduit run yesterday
It was a 100-foot pull through a 2-inch PVC that had a sharp 90-degree bend. I had to cut the conduit open to get it out, which added like 2 hours to the job. Anyone have a go-to brand for a more flexible tape that can handle tight turns?

Yeah, that's the worst... but a 2-inch PVC with a sharp 90 is actually a code problem, not just a tape problem. You're supposed to use a sweep elbow for a pull that long, a regular 90 will always wreck your day. A better tape helps, but you're fighting the pipe itself.

Code is just the bare minimum though, not the best way to do every job. A good fish tape and some pulling lube can get it through a regular 90 if you know what you're doing. Sweeps take up more space and cost more, sometimes you just gotta work with what's already in the wall. Calling it a code problem is a bit much when plenty of guys make the pull work.
