Two hours to fix a shutter I could have done in twenty minutes
Ran into a jammed Copal shutter on a Pentax 67 lens, wasted almost two hours chasing a tiny burr on the timing gear that I should have caught with a loupe on the first look. Anyone else find themselves overthinking simple mechanical binds because you assume it's something more complicated?

Tbh that tiny burr situation is the worst because your brain just refuses to believe something that small could cause that much trouble. Did you feel like a total idiot after you finally spotted it with the loue, or was it more of a "well at least I know now" kind of thing? I swear half my bench time is just me refusing to check the most obvious stuff first.

Yeah that used to be me too. Now I check the small stuff first.

Three weeks I spent hunting a short @lunakim... felt like a total idiot but learned my lesson.
