Heads up on those cheap 'all-in-one' camp stoves from big box stores

I grabbed a Coleman Fold-N-Go for a quick trip to the Adirondacks last month, thinking it would be fine. After one windy morning trying to boil water (it took over 15 minutes), I switched to my old MSR PocketRocket 2 and had a full pot in under 4. The difference in wind resistance and heat output is huge, and the cheap one is now just a backup. Has anyone found a good budget stove that actually holds up in wind?

Nah, my Coleman works fine... just use a windscreen.

Honestly, a windscreen only does so much. That design just loses too much heat to the wind, screen or not. You end up burning way more fuel trying to boil the same water.

What's a windscreen, a prayer?
