Heard a coworker say 'they deserve it' about a fired streamer, made me pause

It was a clip from 2017, dug up last week. Where's the line between holding someone accountable and just piling on years later?

Where do we draw the line on digging up old stuff? It feels less like accountability and more like a hunt for someone to hurt. That kind of pile-on years later just seems cruel.

Stopped sharing old screenshots after I saw a friend get torn apart for dumb jokes from high school. Now I ask if calling someone out today actually helps anyone or just feels good to post. If the person has clearly changed and made amends, I scroll right past those old drama threads.

Yeah, that "hunt for someone to hurt" part really hits home. It just feels mean after so much time has passed. I get wanting to hold people to account, but this ain't it.
