Wasted $150 on a Kickstarter for a show revival that never happened
Backed a campaign to bring back 'Dark Matter' for a fan-funded season. They strung us along for 18 months, sent one lame update, then ghosted. Anyone else get burned by one of these fake revival promises?

Strung us along for 18 months" is exactly how I'd describe it. I backed a similar thing and learned the hard way that these campaigns rarely have the rights or money to actually deliver.

Strung us along" is the perfect way to put it. These projects always promise big but never have the legal ground to stand on. Learned that one the hard way myself.

My buddy Mike dropped $500 on a "restored" 1970 Plymouth Superbird campaign back in 2019. They kept posting blurry photos of "frame-off restorations" for about 14 months, then just stopped updating. He tried to get his money back through the platform but they said tough luck, it was an "ownership transfer" not a sale. Actually ran into the guy running it at a car meet two years later and he was driving a brand new Ford Raptor, so... yeah.
