Had a dream week last week - finished 3 rooms in 4 days with zero callbacks

I mean it never works out like that normally. First room was a 12x14 bedroom with this weird angled closet. Second was a hallway and stairs. Third was a small office. Everything just lined up right. No seams fighting me. No trimming issues. Customer even said the pattern matched better than their old carpet from 15 years ago. Anyone else have those weeks where the carpet gods just smile on you?

Yeah pattern matching went smooth on my last angled closet too, felt like I was cheating.

Had a buddy try this on his first closet and messed it up because he didn't account for the angle right. Took him twice as long to fix it as it did to cut the first time. He still jokes about it every time we see angled walls.

Four days on three rooms with angled walls and no callbacks? That sounds like you left a sacrifice to the carpet gods or something. I mean sure, sometimes everything clicks but I bet if you look close enough there's one little spot that'll bug you in a month. Pattern matching on a closet that ain't square is just asking for trouble down the line, even if it looks good now.
