My DMV trip took 4 hours for a 10 minute renewal

My DMV trip took 4 hours for a 10 minute renewal. I finally went to the downtown Sacramento DMV last Tuesday thinking I'd be in and out. The line wrapped around the building and I almost left right there. Turns out their self-service kiosk was down and the staff had to process everything manually. It took exactly 4 hours and 15 minutes from parking to getting my new sticker. Has anyone else had a simple renewal turn into a whole day thing?

Bet that kiosk being down made their daily numbers look terrible for the state.
