Ordered my beans ground at the shop for probably 2 years. Figured it was free and one less thing to do in the morning. This kid behind the counter kept telling me the coffee goes stale in like a week once it's ground and I should just grind at home. I ignored him. Finally grabbed a cheap Hario grinder on a whim and the same beans I'd been drinking tasted completely different. Like I'd been drinking hot brown water this whole time. The smell when you crack a fresh bean is unreal. Now I keep a bag of pre ground for my office Keurig and every time I use it I get it. Anyone else hold out way too long on the grinder thing?
