Seeing the wifi router stuck behind a metal cabinet at my corner store made me get why placement is so important.

Learned this the hard way when I hid my router to keep my place looking clean. I shoved it behind the TV stand without a second thought. My wifi got so bad I could barely load a webpage. It took me months to connect the dots, no pun intended. Metal just kills the signal, and I felt pretty silly for not knowing that. Now my router sits out in the open like a little plastic monument to my past ignorance.

My buddy in Chicago had his router tucked behind a granite countertop for months. He complained about slow internet until I told him to move it. Now it sits on a bookshelf, and his speed doubled overnight. It's amazing how much stuff in our homes blocks wifi signals. We all learn this lesson eventually, I guess.

Ugh, my old router lived in a metal breadbox for a year before I figured it out.

It's wild how many people hide their router like it's an ugly secret. Shoving it behind metal or in a cabinet just murders your signal strength.
