Just wrapped my 500th square foot of stamped concrete this week

I hit 500 square feet of stamped concrete on a single patio job here in Cleveland, and I realized I've never kept track of my totals before. How do you guys log your work or track your numbers on big projects?

Who actually keeps track of all that anyway?

jesser79 saying "Who actually keeps track of all that anyway?" - I mean, I get why you'd say that, it sounds like extra paperwork nobody wants. But honestly, tracking is pretty important for figuring out how much you're actually charging per square foot and if you're even making money on the job. If you don't keep numbers, you might think you're doing good but end up short on labor or materials for the next one. It doesn't have to be fancy, I just write the square footage and hours on a scrap of paper in my truck. Helps me see what jobs I'm slow on and which ones are worth taking again.

Wait, you're saying you don't track anything on your jobs at all? That's wild to me... how do you know if you're actually making money or just working for free?
