My brother brought up a point about moon landing footage that actually made sense
We were just talking about old tech and he mentioned that the 1969 video looks crisp because they used a special slow-scan camera, not the regular TV cameras of the time. He said the famous 'live' broadcast was actually a film camera pointed at a high-quality monitor in Houston. I always just thought the whole 'it was faked' thing was about special effects, but his point was about the practical limits of broadcast tech. It made me realize I'd never actually looked into the technical side of the argument, just the wild theories. Has anyone else had a basic fact about a big conspiracy theory explained in a really mundane way?

Yeah, that's the thing, most conspiracies fall apart under simple, boring logic.

Used to love them until I realized that.

Exactly, it's always the boring stuff that gets overlooked. Like how people say the moon landing was fake but forget that thousands of engineers would have had to keep quiet for decades. Or the whole flat earth thing falling apart because of basic ship navigation and time zones. The simple answer is usually the right one, even if it's less exciting.
