That field tablet advice from a GC in Phoenix saved my whole report process
Last month my GC buddy told me to ditch the paper checklists and use a rugged tablet with a photo log app. I thought he was overcomplicating it, but I tried it on a 14 unit remodel. Turns out having time stamped photos for each inspection cut my end of week reporting from 3 hours down to 45 minutes. The app even flagged a drywall crack I would've missed. Anyone else get pushed into a tool by a contractor and find it stuck?

Wasting money on tech when a pencil and paper works just fine.

Used to think the exact same way honestly. Then I tried doing a big writing project on paper and my hand cramped up after like an hour, plus I couldn't search back through my notes for anything. Realized pretty quick that typing stuff out digitally saved me so much hassle. Still love a good notebook for quick ideas though, just not for the long stuff.
