Hot take: I tried filming on my phone versus a proper camera for a month and it changed my game

For my channel, I used my phone for all my talking head shots for like 6 months. Last month I finally rented a Sony ZV-E10 and the difference is not even close. The audio is cleaner, the background blur actually looks professional, and editing the footage is way faster. I feel dumb for sticking with the phone for so long just because it was easy. Anyone else make a switch that felt embarrassingly obvious in hindsight?

How long did you think phone video was good enough before trying a real camera?
