I finally saw my own video on a phone screen and realized my fancy edits were just annoying.

I spent 3 hours on a single transition in Premiere Pro, but watching it on my friend's iPhone 12 made it look like a messy, distracting flash that added nothing to the point I was trying to make. Has anyone else had a moment where a simple change in how you view your own work completely flipped your approach?

That exact thing happened to me with color grading. My monitor at home made everything look super rich and deep, but on a normal laptop screen it just looked muddy and dark. It really makes you question who you're actually editing for. Now I check my exports on a couple different devices before I call anything finished. It's a boring step but it saves so much headache.

I keep a cheap second monitor with bad color settings just for this. What's your go-to device for a final check?
