TIL my peanut butter and pickle sandwich obsession is not as weird as I thought

I have been eating white bread with crunchy peanut butter and dill pickle slices since I was a kid in St. Louis. Last week at a potluck in Springfield, a guy saw me making one and said his grandma used to eat them with mayo too. Has anyone else found a weird combo that actually works better than it sounds?

@kelly_nelson95 honey sounds wild but I might have to try it. My grandma always used sweet relish instead of dill pickles and added a thin layer of miracle whip. The sweet and salty combo hits different with that extra tang.

Honey on top is WAY too sweet for my taste @blakem13. Sweet relish and miracle whip already push it to the limit - that's the BALANCE that makes it work. Adding honey would just turn everything into a sugar bomb and ruin the salty kick. No thanks.
